About Katoomba Pilates

About Us

Katoomba Pilates was established in 2020 in Katoomba as a nurturing space for bodies to move optimally. It was born from a deep gratitude for how Pilates transformed my own health.

We bring more than a decade of teaching tools to the studio and that experience translates into classes that are fun, structured and strangely addictive. We offer private sessions, semi-private sessions and small group equipment classes. We get to know our clients deeply so that attention is individualised and progress is measurable.

Our Team

Penelope

Penelope was a student of Pilates in Sydney for 7 years before undertaking  a Pilates diploma program (mat and full equipment) through Pilates ITC.  She is deeply appreciative of the physical and mental health benefits that a regular Pilates practice has gifted her following the birth of her son and currently as a busy mum.

Her classes are detailed and precise and capture the beauty and “slow burn” of the Pilates method.

Jen

has had a lifelong interest in health, nutrition and fitness.  She discovered Pilates in 2009 when searching for help for chronic low back pain and was so impressed with the results that she enrolled in the rigorous Body Arts and Science International (BASI) Pilates teacher training program (mat and full equipment)  which she completed in Portland, Oregon USA. Jen continues her Pilates studies through weekly Classical Pilates instruction.

In addition to currently running  Katoomba Wellness (her Chinese Medicine Practice), Jen has been teaching Pilates to a wide range of bodies and goals since 2012. She believes that Pilates is medicine too. Her classes are dynamic and structured around  a full body workout with a focus on strength building and spine health and are constantly evolving. She looks forward to helping you discover the many joys and benefits of Pilates.
